Words Ending With
Enter an ending such as ING, TION, or LY to find every matching word in the dictionary.
Search by word ending
Use a suffix search for rhymes, spelling patterns, word games, and writing. The match must appear at the very end of each result, so ingfinds “finding” but not “ingredient.”
Exact spelling, not approximate sound
The finder compares written letters at the end of each entry. A search for tion returns words whose final four letters are T-I-O-N, while words with a similar sound but a different spelling are excluded. This makes the tool useful for suffix exercises and spelling patterns, but it is not a phonetic rhyme dictionary.
Reduce a long list with reliable clues
Common endings such as s, ed, and ingcan match many words. Add the exact length when you know the number of spaces, or add a beginning and contained sequence when crossing letters are available. Start with the most certain clue: an exact six-letter answer ending in ly is usually a better search than every word that ends in Y.
Choose the crossword solver when letters are fixed in separate positions. Choose thecontaining-letters tool when the sequence may appear anywhere rather than at the end.
Check grammar as well as spelling
Endings often suggest a grammatical form, but spelling alone cannot prove meaning or part of speech. Results ending in ed may include verbs, adjectives, names, and uncommon forms. For a crossword, compare the clue's tense and number. For a writing task, read the candidate in context before choosing it.
Coverage and limitations
Matches come from the same broad English list used by every Wordilizer tool. The list includes specialist, regional, historical, and inflected forms and is not an official Scrabble, crossword, or classroom dictionary. The methodology page explains how entries are normalized, matched, and reviewed, while the credits page identifies the underlying source.
