Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data Wordilizer processes, why it is needed, who may receive it, and the choices available to you.
1. Controller and contact
The controller responsible for Wordilizer is Jan Berlinger, 8044 Zürich, Switzerland. Privacy requests can be sent to hello@wordilizer.com.
2. Data processed when you use Wordilizer
Word searches
Letters, patterns, and filters that you enter are sent to Wordilizer's search endpoint so that matching words can be returned. Wordilizer does not store these searches in an application database. Because search parameters are part of request URLs, they may appear temporarily in technical access or security logs maintained by the hosting infrastructure.
Technical access and security data
When a page or search endpoint is requested, the hosting infrastructure may process the IP address, date and time, requested URL, response status, referrer, browser and device information, and security signals. This is necessary to deliver the site, diagnose faults, prevent abuse, and maintain service security.
Messages sent by email
If you contact Wordilizer, the email address, message content, attachments, and related correspondence are processed to answer the request and maintain any records required for security or legal reasons. Wordilizer does not currently operate a web contact form.
3. Hosting and service providers
Wordilizer is deployed directly to Cloudflare Workers. Cloudflare processes technical request and security data on Wordilizer's behalf to deliver and protect the service. Its infrastructure may operate in Switzerland, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, the United States, or other countries. Provider contractual and technical safeguards apply to international processing. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
4. Cookies, local storage, and consent
Wordilizer uses Google's Privacy & Messaging consent platform for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland. Depending on your region, consent choice, and Google's advertising configuration, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar local-storage technologies. Hosting and security infrastructure may also use essential storage where required to deliver and protect the service.
The permanent Cookie settings control in the footer opens Google's consent revocation flow when it is available for the current visitor. This allows consent choices to be reviewed or changed later.
5. Google AdSense and Privacy & Messaging
Wordilizer uses Google AdSense and Google's certified Privacy & Messaging consent platform with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. The AdSense tag is loaded on Wordilizer pages other than this privacy-policy page, which deliberately remains free of advertising and Funding Choices tags.
Google and its advertising partners may process consent choices, online identifiers, IP address, browser and device information, approximate location, and advertising interactions to select, deliver, measure, secure, and, where consented, personalize advertising. The consent interface provides consent, refusal, and management options. The participating advertising providers and purposes are shown in the consent interface. See Google's Privacy Policy.
6. Analytics
No third-party analytics service is active. Wordilizer currently emits interface events only inside the visitor's browser; they are not transmitted to an analytics provider. If Google Analytics or another provider is introduced, this policy and the consent configuration will be updated before activation.
7. Retention
Word searches are not retained in an application database. Technical logs are kept only for the periods configured by the hosting provider or account administrator for operations, security, and abuse prevention. Contact correspondence is retained until the request is resolved and for as long as reasonably required to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. Consent records and advertising data are retained under the applicable Google CMP, AdSense, and account configuration.
8. Recipients and international transfers
Data is disclosed only where needed to hosting, security, email, consent-management, and advertising providers, or where required by law. Providers may process data outside Switzerland. Wordilizer relies on an adequacy decision, contractual safeguards, or another permitted mechanism where required.
9. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request information about your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that occurred before withdrawal. Send requests to hello@wordilizer.com. You may also contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner.
10. Changes
This policy will be updated when hosting, advertising, analytics, contact channels, or data practices change. The date at the top identifies the current version.
